About Cheerful Canaries
My name is Arda, and I am the breeder behind Cheerful Canaries, located in Waltham, Massachusetts.
My passion for canaries began when I was 11 years old. After moving to the United States at 17, I stepped away from breeding for several years, but my love for these remarkable birds never disappeared. When I eventually returned to the hobby, I did so with a renewed commitment to learning, improving, and developing a healthy, high-quality aviary.
Today, I specialize in Fife Fancy and Gloster canaries, including both Corona and Consort Glosters. I carefully select my breeding pairs with close attention to health, temperament, feather quality, structure, and the recognized characteristics of each breed.
The health and well-being of my birds always come first. My goal is not simply to produce more canaries, but to responsibly improve my bloodlines with every generation while preserving the qualities that make Fifes and Glosters so special.
Cheerful Canaries is a small, dedicated aviary. I breed only a handful of canaries each year, which allows me to give every bird the individual care and attention it deserves. Because I focus on quality rather than quantity, availability is very limited and varies throughout the year.
For me, breeding is an ongoing process of learning and improvement. My goal is to maintain a healthy flock, preserve the special characteristics of Fife and Gloster canaries, and strengthen my bloodlines with every generation.
